How Do YOU Choose Your Builder?

PRICE/SQ.FT.: Can your builder quote you an average price per square foot? If they can, then they can not be the truly custom home builder they claim to be. The price per square foot on any home will vary greatly depending upon what finishes you include in it. Are you using vinyl, ceramic, or limestone flooring in your bathrooms? Are your using "Progressive" or "Tiffany" brand light fixtures? Are you using vinyl siding, cultured stone, or real stone on the exterior? Are you using "Landmark" brand or real slate shingles on your roof? Any builder that can quote you a price per square foot uses roughly the same materials in all their homes. This is not custom design. K.A. Witt Construction and Trademark Homes lets you select your floor plan and your finishes; we will not quote a price per square foot because we are a truly unique and custom home builder.

CREATIVITY: What is the 'style' of home you would like to build? Can your builder create an entire home tailored to meet your needs from top to bottom within your 'style'? K.A. Witt Construction and Trademark Homes has in-house interior design consultants that work with you to select exterior and interior finishes that reflect your 'style'. From shingles and brick/stone/stucco, to paint colors, door style, hardware carpet, wood species, and stain color, we can build within your 'style'. Would you want a Victorian home, a mission style home, a rustic home with a log cabin feel, a cottage style home, or something else? Tell us what you want, and we can deliver it!

QUALITY: Does your builder take time to get the project right? Do they build too many homes per year to give your project the attention it deserves? At 50 homes per year, K.A. Witt Construction and Trademark Homes has found the perfect balance between quantity and quality. We can service a large number of clients in any given year, while giving them all our personal and undivided attention. We are on the job site many times each week and are in constant communication with our clients regarding the progress of the project. We are accessible to our clients any time questions arise.

REPUTATION: What do past clients have to say about their experience with their builder? Will that builder share a reference list of past clients? The reputation of K.A. Witt Construction and Trademark Homes is one of impeccable quality and incredible value. Our peers often ask us how we offer the quality of homes and number of upgraded amenities for the price. We do not charge outrageous profit and overhead margins that you may find with other builders. We are happy to share our entire client reference list and you can hand pick who you call.

EXPERIENCE: How long has your builder been in business? How many homes per year do they build? K.A. Witt Construction and Trademark Homes has been in the business for over 40 years. We build around 50 unique and entirely custom homes per year. With degrees from Dunwoody Institute of Architectural Drafting, the University of St. Thomas, and the University of Minnesota we have the knowledge it takes to deliver. After 39 years in the business, Ken continues designing, specializing in residential and commercial. Jason's 16 years at Witt Construction have consisted of residential and commercial building, septic design and excavation. Chris has worked at Witt Construction for 21 years, focusing on residential and town home construction. After 10 years in the business, Brandon is an excavation crew leader dedicated to earth work projects, utilities and septic design. All together our family has almost 100 years of experience!
