When can you start building?
            By the time the design and pricing process is complete, Chris and Jason anticipate and time the construction start so building start almost immediately.

How long will it take to complete my house?
            Generally speaking, we allow 150 days from the time we begin your house.  Things that would extend this time frame would be, but not limited to, weather conditions, multiple change orders, selection delays, and back ordered items.

How much will it cost?  Do you have a price per square foot?
            Since we are truly a custom builder, we do not have a square foot price.  Most often times, the cost will depend on the finishes you choose, building site, design of home and selections you make. 

When can we move in? 
             Immediately after closing.

Where should we go to get carpet, tile, etc…?
            Witt Construction has a list of vendors we have established relationships with and found to offer the service and selections you deserve.  Chris or Jason provide this list which is also available on-line with links to most vendors and suppliers.

Do we need a realtor?
            Not to build your home. 
However, if you need to sell your existing home or find property to build on, Witt Construction has partnered with Pinpoint Realty to offer you a “one stop shop.”  Please ask Chris or Jason for further information.

Do we build on an owner’s lot?
            Absolutely!  In addition, Witt Construction has both city and rural lots available.  Please ask Chris or Jason for availability or check out our website under “Looking for a Lot”

How far will we travel?
            Within 30 miles of New Prague; beyond that would be on an individual basis.
           
Does it cost more for a custom home?
            Not necessarily.  Being a custom builder means we tailor the house to you and your family.  We have yet to build two homes the same.  For this reason, everything in your home is selected and designed by you.  You will determine the cost of your home.

Who sends me a copy of my purchase agreement?
            We don’t use a “purchase agreement,” instead we have a building contract.  The building contract details specifically what you’re home includes, allowances and the selections you’ve made.

Who schedules our design meetings?
            This is a two step process.  The initial design meetings would be with Chris or Jason. 
            The second step would be interior selections.  This is done with Jason, Chris or one of our interior design consultants.  Regardless of where you’re at, all meetings are scheduled at times convenient for all parties.

Who do I call to institute a change order?
            Your project manager, Jason or Chris.

Who do I talk to get special option pricing on my selections?
            Your project manager, Jason or Chris.
           
Who do I work with during the construction process?
            Chris or Jason, work directly with you from start to finish.  In addition, we have two job superintendents equally involved with each project.  They can answer any questions you may have.

Who can tell me how much I have spent on my house?
            Your project manager, Chris or Jason.

Who do I talk to if I need to verify or change my closing date?
            Your project manager, Chris or Jason.

Do you have a base price for a house?
             No.  Since we are a custom builder, we don’t sell a “package” home.  We work with you from start to finish; creating, constructing and finishing your home as you desire.   Because you choose such things as appliances, carpet, tile, etc... the majority of the cost is determined by you.  The selections you make greatly effect the price of the home. 

What is your standard package?
            Structurual things, like the type of floor trusses we use and our building process, don’t change no matter what we build.  In terms of the products we put in each house, those vary from home to home depending on the finishes and selections you decide for you home.
